Go Daddy Reunites With Victory Junction for Possible $100000 Weekend
November 11, 2011 @ 3:29 AMGoDaddy.com, the world’s largest provider of Web hosting, domain name registrations and net-new SSL Certificates, has partnered with Victory Junction for a second year to help provide life-changing experiences to children with chronic medical conditions and their families. Beginning Friday and through the weekend, five percent of GoDaddy.com’s online sales, up to $50,000, will be donated to Victory Junction. .ORG, The Public Interest Registry (PIR), will also be participating in the promotion by matching the funds donated by GoDaddy.com for a total donation of $100,000.

87 Major Assns. and Businesses Join with ANA to Form Coalition to Oppose ICANN’s TLD Expansion Program
November 10, 2011 @ 11:50 PMEighty-seven major national and international business associations and companies have joined forces with the ANA (Association of National Advertisers), forming the Coalition for Responsible Internet Domain Oversight (CRIDO) to oppose the rollout of ICANN’s top-level domain expansion program. Among the many influential members of CRIDO are the Grocery Manufacturers Association, the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Society of Association Executives, the National Restaurant Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the American Council of Life Insurers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA). The WFA represents a global network of 51 advertiser associations representing some 90 percent of global marketing communications spending, equivalent to $700 billion annually.
